The future of Caroline Forbes: 

School/College:

• Wrapped up her senior year with her graduation and attending the prom she helped plan and organize — an event she wasn’t planning on going to until Tyler Lockwood showed up at her doorstep reminding her of the promise she had made (‘Save me a dance?’ ‘Always’)

• She spent the remainder of her summer with her friends, spending as much as time with them as she could while slowly packing away her stuff. That included many pool parties and barbeques.
• Reunited with Tyler when he surprised her by arriving her to college dorm first and got down on one knee and proposed to her. She said yes.
• Went to Penn State in the fall and completed her four years there, making some new friends there — but none as special as the ones she left behind.

Relationships:

• Kept in contact with the ones who knew of her being a vampire for many years, maintaining a strong friendship with them (Matt, Elena, Bonnie, Dean, Jeremy, Noah, Andie, Sam, Kaylee, Stefan, Liz)
• For those who had no idea, Caroline slowly but surely cut communication after a couple years when would it be would appropriate. For friends like Grace, Caroline would return on school breaks and on vacations for the first two or three years and cut it down to phone calls and emails until there was no safe way to talk to her — she does ask Matt, however, to keep tabs on her and to see how well she’s doing
• It took a long time but Caroline formed a close friendship with Maya, forgiving her for the night when she was bit and finding that the two have a lot in common. The two were badass and turned out to be very protective over one another.
• Every 150 years, Caroline would meet up with Liz and Stefan and Andie with Tyler
• Even though she still thinks and considers Damon to be a pain the ass, she catches him around every couple hundred years to see how he’s doing. She kinda cares about him, but will deny it with a witty comment to throw him off.
• Her mother and her continued to build a better mother-daughter relationship, where Caroline could fully trust her. She, of course, was invited to her wedding. When Liz Forbes died of old age, Caroline spent a lot of nights in the comfort of Tyler’s arms.
• Caroline never found out about Jeremy’s crush on her, though had suspicions

Caroline visited many countries during her lifetime, expanding appreciation for the arts and history. She lived a full and happy life seeing the world and what it has to offer until she settled down, visiting Mystic Falls every two hundred years or so.
